For as little as $1 per day, or $30 per month, you can make a powerful, ongoing commitment to help people in need of vision care!

Ongoing support through monthly donations allows Optometry Giving Sight to plan for the future, make long-term commitments to vision care projects, and maximize funds applied to projects. For many of our donors, it’s simply the quickest and most efficient way of showing their support.

Future Giving

Gifts from wills, trusts and retirement accounts can provide a lasting legacy of support for the communities we serve.

CHARITABLE BEQUESTS

You can include a future gift in your Will or Living Trust, naming Optometry Giving Sight to receive a portion of your estate or a specific asset. This option is highly flexible—you can prioritize friends and loved ones as needed, and still support OGS.

Sample language for a specific bequest to Optometry Giving Sight:
“I give to Optometry Giving Sight, 1019 8th Street, Suite 304, Golden, CO 80401, a Colorado non-profit corporation, the sum of $_______ [or ______% of my estate; or the property described herein], for its general purposes.”

Sample language for a residuary bequest to Optometry Giving Sight:
“I give to Optometry Giving Sight, 1019 8th Street, Suite 304, Golden, CO 80401, a Colorado non-profit corporation, all [or ____%] of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, for its general purposes.”

For Canada, please use:
4 Parkdale Crescent NW, Calgary AB T2N 3T8, a Canadian non-profit corporation with official charitable registration number #894850965RR0001

BENEFICIARY DESIGNATIONS

You can name Optometry Giving Sight to receive a portion of your IRA, company retirement plan, or life insurance policy. This option is highly flexible—you decide the appropriate percentages for OGS and your loved ones. Creating this gift is as simple as updating your named beneficiaries.

Payable on death (POD) account

You can donate a portion of the funds from a bank (or credit union) account to Optometry Giving Sight. This option is simple, inexpensive, and flexible to changing needs throughout your lifetime.

Transfer on death (TOD) account

You can donate a portion of the securities held in a brokerage or investment account to Optometry Giving Sight. This option is simple, inexpensive, and flexible to changing needs throughout your lifetime.

CHARITABLE REMAINDER TRUST

A charitable remainder trust can provide powerful financial, tax, and estate planning benefits. You donate assets into trust for the eventual benefit of Optometry Giving Sight. In the interim, the trust pays income to you and/or your designated income beneficiaries.

Please discuss your charitable options with your professional advisors before making any gifts. Your advisors are best positioned to help you protect against future uncertainties—and also recognize the specific tax benefits you may enjoy. Please know that Optometry Giving Sight is happy to support these conversations in any way that is helpful.
