Optometry Giving Sight is a global response to a global problem. With at least 670 million people around the world in need of eye care services, we can only make a significant impact on this global problem by working together.

ICEE - International Centre for Eyecare Education
Founded in 1998, with its headquarters at the University of New South Wales in Australia, ICEE is a not-for-profit, non-government organization that is committed to delivering a solution. ICEE's mission is to eliminate avoidable blindness due to uncorrected refractive error by developing sustainable solutions for disadvantaged communities in need.

For over 60 years Sightsavers has been working  to combat avoidable blindness in developing countries, and restore sight through specialist treatment and eye care. Sightsavers also supports people who are irreversibly blind by providing education, counselling and training, helping the people who need it most - those living in poverty in some of the world's poorest countries.

The primary mission of VOSH/International is to facilitate the provision and sustainability of vision care worldwide to people who can neither afford nor obtain such care. In December 2001 VOSH partnered with the World Health Organization and pledged to eliminate preventable blindness by the year 2020.
