OAA - Optometrists Association Australia
Optometrists Association Australia is the professional association for Australian optometrists. It provides a range of services to its members and the Australian public.
With 97% membership penetration translating into more than 3,300 members, the Optometrists Association Australia (OAA) is the most sensible, neutral and cost effective way to reach and influence all Australian Optometrists.
OAA is a member of the World Council of Optometry and has endorsed Optometry Giving Sight as its official charity of choice, and continues to support OGS. All State Councils have agreed to support OGS in a variety of ways, including:
- The tick box on annual subscription notices;
- Collection and forwarding of donations to OGS;
- Space at state congresses;
- Space and editorial within state newsletters;
- Inclusion of OGS Brochures;
- Allowing time for OGS presentations at Congresses.
The Optometrists Association Australia and OGS will work together to help prevent blindness and visual impairment caused by refractive error.
