William Morris London donated the equivalent amount from every telephone frame order they received during the month of October raising over £400 as part of the World Sight Day Challenge.
They have also pledged to support Optometry Giving Sight through the sponsorship of the donation box program for practices, where funds raised will be directed to eye care projects in the developing world which help give sight to millions of people in need.
“We’re delighted to be a part of this year’s World Sight Day Challenge, where we joined in with many of our customers and other practices across the UK that also took part,” commented Robert Morris, Managing Director of William Morris. “We’re incredibly proud to be able to make this donation and to also sponsor the donation box program which will help towards transforming many lives.”
The World Sight Day Challenge is a global fundraising campaign coordinated by Optometry Giving Sight and jointly implemented with Vision Aid Overseas in the UK. William Morris London joined in with hundreds of practices, companies and students during October to help give access to eye care.
“This was a fantastic way to raise funds and it also helped to create more awareness throughout the UK profession,” said Donna Power, UK Country Manager. “We are extremely grateful to William Morris London for their donation and for the ongoing support with the donation box program.”
